👟 Supreme x Nike Air Max DN8 (Black): Latest Pickup
Published:
My latest Supreme pickup just landed: the Supreme x Nike Air Max DN8 in black, plus a Banner Mini that came with the order.
The Shoe

The DN8 is the silhouette that doubled down on the original Air Max Dn’s Dynamic Air — eight pressurized tubes running the full length of the foot (four in the heel, four in the forefoot), versus the Dn’s four-tube heel unit. It’s a lifestyle shoe first, but the cushioning has a genuinely fun, springy feel underfoot.
What sold me on the Supreme version:
- All-black everything. Black mesh upper, black midsole, black Air tubes. Goes with literally everything in the rotation.
- The oversized outlined “SUP” on the lateral panel. Supreme’s collabs with Nike work best when the branding is loud but the colorway stays wearable — this one nails that balance.
- The box. Matte black Nike box with the red Supreme bogo sticker on the side. Small detail, but the co-branded packaging is half the fun of a Supreme Nike drop.
On Feet & Styling
Honest note: this collab is fresh enough that on-feet galleries of the exact pair are basically nonexistent online right now. The closest reference is the same silhouette — on-feet look at the DN8 ‘Black Volt’ gives a good sense of how the DN8 wears: chunky but not clownish, sits low to the ground despite the tech.
Styling-wise, all-black does the heavy lifting. Black jeans or cargos, any dark top, done. The outlined “SUP” is the only loud element, and it reads more as a graphic than branding noise — it doesn’t fight the rest of the fit.
The Banner Mini (a.k.a. My Award)

The order came with a free gift: a Banner Mini — a shrunken replica of the Supreme store banner in red satin with gold tassel fringe. And I have to say it: this thing looks exactly like a Chinese 锦旗 — the honorary silk banners handed out in China for everything from “Model Citizen” to “Best Delivery Driver.” Supreme accidentally made the most Chinese accessory possible. It’s hanging in the office now, and I’m choosing to believe it was awarded to me for outstanding sneaker purchasing.
Why This Pair
I’ve been wearing the DN8 silhouette since it launched and the comfort-to-bulk ratio is right for daily wear — lighter than it looks, and the full-length Air makes long days on concrete noticeably easier. The Supreme take keeps the stealthy black colorway while adding just enough branding to make it a thing. Into the rotation it goes.
